History of English Language paper explain about the history, origins and development of English, Indo-European Family of language, Teutonic verbal system. The English language history has three main periods: Old English (450-1100 AD), Middle English (1100-1500 AD) and Modern English (since 1500).The present paper also highlights individual contribution of Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton and Bible to the English Language.
